Home Beach is 30 metres from the Festival, just behind the tree line! We've made a special beach entrance for easy access! It is a stunning sheltered beach ideal for swimming with the possibility of spotting a dolphin or two...
How can I travel to the Festival?

You can also find or offer a rideshare by posting on the Island Vibe Festival Community Facebook group.
Is there a bicycle parking?
We encourage all Vibers to ride to the Festival if they can! There is a bicycle rack right in front of the main festival entrance. We've even got a Bike Hire station and a Mobile Workshop, find out more about our CYCLE VIBE program on our KEEP IT GREEN webpage.
Where can I park my car?
Best not to bring your car to the festival and leave it at your accommodation, even better leave it on the mainland!

A FEW LAST MINUTE TIPS!!!
- Do not camp in your van/car on the side of the road!! The police will be going around issuing $500 fines. Like, for real.

- Quite a few people are selling their camping spots around the island on our Facebook page 'Island Vibe Festival Community'.
GOLDEN RULES
Please be aware there are some golden rules we urge everyone to follow, to ensure minimal impact on the local community and the festival's survival.

CAMP ONLY AT DESIGNATED CAMPGROUNDS
Free camping and van camping has been flagged by local authorities as a deal breaker for Island Vibe. We urge all patrons to seek out the many accommodation options on the island - from holiday houses, hostels, resorts and campgrounds.

NO BEACH FIRES
There is a real danger of a stray spark from a beach fire blowing into the forest and causing a bushfire.
This rule isn't to dampen your fun, fires pose a huge risk to the people, animals and infrastructure of Minjerribah.

PUBLIC DRINKING
Please keep any consumption of alcohol to your campsite/accommodation or public bar.
Roaming the streets with alcohol will result in fines from the police and reflects poorly on the festival.

PUBLIC NUDITY
Please pack boardies and bikinis for the beach. As tempting as it is to get some
sun on the nether regions, there have been repetitive complaints to council over beach nudity.
This in turn makes it difficult for Island Vibe to get a council permit, and no permit - equals no fun!
Unless you are local and already live on the island (lucky you), you will have to cross Moreton Bay on a vessel! There are only 2 companies going to the island: our sponsor SeaLink (vehicle ferry + passenger ferry) and Stradbroke Flyer (water taxi only).
All ferries from the mainland to the Island leave from Cleveland and arrive in Dunwich (North Stradbroke Island). Stradbroke Flyer is the first terminal and then the SeaLink terminals are after on Emmett Drive, Cleveland.
There are limited ferry passes available - to ensure you and your friends arrive to the festival on time, we recommend booking your ferry passes in early. Carpooling is not only a great way to look after the planet & have fun with your friends, but also to save on money!
All Island Vibe mailing list subscribers will have received the Island Vibe ferry code via email, which can be used to pre-purchase ferry passes.
If you’re not on our mailing list, you can join here at our website, when you arrive at the home page.
